Thought this would be a great way to introduce Aheshi to the group, lmao. For context, Aheshi believes that Rakharo killed her lover and she's been following the group ever since they left the homeland.

The days seemed endless, and the nights were cold and empty to her. It took little effort to rise and to follow, to hunt from the shadows while the khalas journeyed; they were discreet, the lot of them, but at times foolish. On more than one occasion Aheshi thought she had an opportunity to strike one of the Dotharan down or at the very least, bleed them. But she was playing a waiting game, and it was important to remain secret. To avoid their attention while trailing them, even if it meant leaving behind the motherland. And this place she now found herself was so very different, so alien. Like Zhavvi, Aheshi felt more out of place among the trees than upon the plains. This they had in common.

But this is where the commonalities ended.

It was Zhavvi who caught the lurking woman's attention the most. She was young, and to Aheshi that meant she was weaker than the others. The fact that Zhavvi was the daughter of the man she sought, of the khal who had ruined her life - well, that was a bonus. A beautiful happenstance. So when Zhavvi distanced herself from the group, it was Aheshi's chance to get in closer. To maybe even pay her a visit; rip the smug look off of her face and feed it to her wretched father, for instance.

The meadow was closer to their native grounds, if a bit more verdant. Aheshi knew how to move across the plains like any other Dotharan, and this was no different. She stalked through the reeds as if to scout a herd of noah, and the nearer she got, the bolder she became. This was not a great beast, there were no horns to be wary of, no testosterone-fueled rage; this was only a girl, and Aheshi knew she could make her message known - she only needed to be closer.
