Maybe we aren't meant to know." All in all, they were bound to be simplistic creatures bound by instinct alone. Instinct that at times, brought them together and drove them apart. Intrigued them to do something more, or tuck away hidden from the world. But sure, there would always been that element of luck lingering around that brought random chance into place.
