Rakharo felt proud to see once again a wolf pledging loyalty to himself and his Khalas. It was his duty as leader to make the pack grow larger and stronger, and he had done well so far. Four wolves and a slave had added themselves to the pack and now it was time to ride for the final goal, to find a place where they belonged, a land of bison, a sea of grass.

"Follow me, Kivi. I will introduce you to the pack..." the golden Khal barked and turned around to walk out of the forest and into open field, where his Khalas awaited them, probably with a good kill to feed for the night.
