The pups suckled greedily. Bazi stared at the four bodies nestled close to her deflated body, pressing their fragile, shaking little legs into either side of a nipple. She had done it. Barely - but now it was over.

A soft voice reached out to her. Bazi turned to look at the shadow of her mate in the doorway. "I'm .. really hungry," she murmured almost drunkenly.
