Rather than center his attention on the mysterious entity beyond them Ariston's entire focus settled on the mannerisms taken on by Koontz. It was obvious she had already fallen into prowl mode; her every movement was sensitive to the status of their prey (aside from the occasional don't you dare glances she kept sending his way). I got dis he coolly responded as a slow grin split his maw. Being thrust into the midst of a hunt always forced him into a tense, giddy state. He wanted everything to go well but was worried it would not. Then again if it did...how cool would that be?!
The air around them filled with a static-like intensity that signaled their target was getting the sense that all was not right with the world. Them not being discovered yet gave them great favor toward victory...but Ariston knew soon that an attack would be initiated to ensure their food didn't get the notion to flee. He tensed and paused lest a mistaken step ruin the opportunity; he watched his companion for further orders.
