Her tiny dismissal was met with a small nod of his own, and Njal turned away, heading back to the borderlands. He would follow the boundary line for a while, studying the scents and the sights, until evening fell - or if something of more importance caught his attention. His discussion with the child faded from his memory, for the most part, but left his spirit feeling restored.
