Nova Peak the jungle slang

The sun lulled him into rest, briefly. Eyes half-lidded, the world became very hazey and ripe for the depths of imagination to play out somewhere with the clouds that rolled by. This did not last long, if only for the approach of his mother behind him. He registered the touch of her nails microseconds before understanding what it was that she had said; the combination of sensations jarred him smoothly into reality once more. He'd been caught, but there was not a lingering reprimand in the air to be found yet.

He smiled shyly for a moment, wavering between a yes or no as if either answer would turn out for the worst. It was a thoughtful process, but one that he opted to answer with a sure bob of his head and an enthused wave of his tail. Whatever notion of being pushed towards sleepytime was tossed out the window, he wanted to go outside. This would beat sneaking out.
