His paw touched her shoulder, sending a message down all her nerve endings and into her brain that something had been there. The entire process fascinated her as she tried to figure out how she knew she had been touched. This didn't last long, just long enough for Mason to issue the challenge and once he started moving June set off as well.

Mason's loping was careful whereas June's was clumsy. She was constantly almost tripping but catching herself before she fell, however none of this concerned her. A huge smile graced her face as she followed Mason, her sights set on her brother and her aim was to touch him as he had her. It didn't have to be his shoulder, any part of him would do. She just wanted to prove that she could do this too.

Eventually he stopped moving, and turned to check on her. She stretched out her paw, aiming to get his rump or tail before he sidled around the trunk of the tree.
