Firestone Hot Springs. This was one of the places that FitzDutiful was keeping his eye on. His pack borders extended part way into their lands and, aside from that, this was the place where he had first met Raissa. It had always been a stopping point for him, at least every other day, when they had ruled the mountainside together but now that she was gone he went every day, if he could find the time.

Today was no exception though today was going to be different to normal. Normally he would head into the hot springs and soak for a while, from the time the sun hit the mountain peek until he just disappeared behind, ready to make the start into the afternoon. Today someone else was there.

Their numbers were small and this black wolf looked to be a loner. There was a slight scent of the spine in the air, but not strong enough for this wolf to belong there. FitzDutiful wasn't in the mood for verbal spars today, though. No sugar coating.

"You here just to roll in dirt and bathe or are you seeking a pack?" he said as he approached the black wolf, looking him over. Frankly, he wasn't that fussed about the "family" aspect of his pack right now. That would come in time, that would be the moment this strong, black wolf was allowed near the pups unsupervised. That would be the moment he proved to FitzDutiful the pack was more important than the single individual. That would come to pass if he was even interested in joining the mountain group.
