Burke stayed low to the ground close to Ayana. His ears moved whens he stepped on the leaf. It could happen that one stepped on a leaf, and then to their bad luck the wind changed. Burke stayed as still as a statue. A deer was never alone so this might be their only shot, or he should learn Ayana to fish. The dark King looked at her with his calm expression, hopefully she would relax because his posture was relaxed. The male sniffed the deer and then decided against it. He jumped forward startling the deer. He then turned to Ayana. "Did you scented something weird about that deer?," he asked to be sure she scented it too. "It ate Rhubarb leaves. Poisonous for us, not for them. Deer in Black Feather," he explained. He knew his poisons from his wife and stepdaughter.

"Not to worry. Follow me. Just outside of our territory there is a field full of deer. I think some even have some young. It would be good for you to analyze a group of prey," Burke spoke. "But you should remember this scent. We have quite some rhubarb leaves around here, and they are very dangerous." Burke nudged her shoulder that she wouldn't de discouraged. A hunt sometimes ended like that. But they had more options and they would head their right now.
