Her heart was racing, she felt the adrenalin rush hitting her. She immediately ran closer to the deer which looked pathetic and scared of the dark King. It ran directly towards her, the wind probably blew her scent away from the deer. She could look into it's frightened eyes, widely open, just like .. his were. Ayana shivered. A deer reminded her of her dying brother? How sweet.
She ran closer to the deer, hiding well in the tall grass. She could hear the hooves of the herd stamping on the ground as quickly as her heart was beating. Then the perfect moment came. She jumped right up and hit her claws hard inside the soft flesh of the injured deer. It screamed his last scream when Ayana's teeth buried smoothly in the deer's neck. How easily her teeth cut through it's veins, warm blood dripping out of the deer, covering her light coat in the red liquid. It felt good. She killed again. She didn't know whether she would have survived without killing for any longer.
"Dead.", Ayana said while looking at Burke, who came closer to her to take a look at the prey they had hunted. "Good job. You're perfect at this. You gave me a really good chance. Thank you. Honestly.", Ayana said. She was kind of proud of herself, although she would never admit that.
