A part of Fox wanted to stay with the kids and give them a play-by-play, but Magpie assured her that she could look after them. Fox groaned a little, but eventually relented, nudging Dove to follow her along. Dove seemed... well, less than pleased, but she'd never really been one for dirty work like this. "C'mon, sis, it'll be fun!" Fox insisted. Besides, having another wolf on their team meant the chances of bringing down their prey was greater. Assuming Pan followed, Fox jogged alongside him, Dove trailing a little bit behind. She nudged Pan with her nose, a bright smile on her face. "I'm glad you're a part of the fam," Fox said. And really, she was. Despite being a rather traditional, wild wolf, Fox couldn't see anything wrong with adding yet another guardian for their children.

She glanced back, wondering if Elwood would choose to stay with the kids or help out. She hoped the latter, if only because there were two less-than-adequate hunters on their team (Fox and Dove) and Peregrine was going to need all the help he could get from his big burly male comrades.
