Anyway, Pan asked for details about the attack and he saw the opportunity to hold his silence. In the meantime, he lowered himself to the ground. It really didn't do much to alleviate the throbbing in his head but he felt slightly better off his feet.

He vaguely followed the conversation. Peregrine already knew these details, though being reminded of Saena's attempt on his pack mate's life sent a shooting pain through his left temple. Peregrine clenched his teeth as his vision dimmed. Then, just like that, his headache disappeared.

Holding very still and blinking his jade eyes, Peregrine could think only one thing: What the fuck? His eyes then raised to his two companions questioningly, as if they might be able to explain what had just happened. But of course they wouldn't know; they weren't even aware of his headache in the first place, aside from his perhaps peculiar behavior.

Sitting up again, he shook his head lightly, almost as if testing it, then shrugged and chimed into the conversation by saying, "The wolves up north are behaving like that entire region is their territory, so we'll be sure to treat the south the same way."
