But then again, he had been slow to develop and grow. Maybe his parents had been sticking to a milk diet. Oh, Peregrine thought, eyes widening slightly as the pup finally took a bite. He hoped he wasn't about to choke. He also felt bad for possibly robbing Elwood and Finley of this experience, not that they would know if he didn't tell them...
