Both the mothers agreed that this was a perfect place to raise and protect pups. She almost regretted that her own litter was not born there, but alas, it was far too late. All she would have to do was hope that she had a new litter of her own with Burke, and then she could raise them here.

Nodding in agreement, the Night Queen led Lusa back through the hidden crack, through the expansive den and back into the glen. She would have to find the softest pelts for the expectant mother, and ones large enough to hold a wolf and pups were hard to come by. She would begin the search in earnest.
