"Peregrine?" Elwood called out as he approached, brows knit together with concern. He had spotted the swarthy Alpha from some distance and planned to join him for a patrol, but before his eyes Peregrine seemed to become unsteady on his feet. He watched as Peregrine dropped onto his haunches, and as he drew nearer he spotted the trace of blood on his friend's cheek.

Drawing in a sharp breath, the mottled grey male came to a halt, yellow eyes boring into Peregrine's face. The blood seemed to be coming from Peregrine's left eye, following the same path that a teardrop might have -- although it was certainly different in color. "Are you okay? Should I get Sebastian?" he asked, his stomach giving an uncomfortable squeeze.
