The grey male stared lamely at the black female before him. He vaguely wondered why black wolves were all so contrastingly different. He figured: same color, same category. This was not the case. Hawkeye and this Blue Willow were so different it almost baffled him. In stories of wolves, all black wolves came from an original black wolf, all white wolves came from an original white wolf, and so on. He'd only ever witnessed curiosity from other wolves, so they had all seemed about the same to him. Obviously, he was learning something from being in a pack. It suddenly dawned on him that he severely missed his mother. He pushed it to the back of his mind.
Fury nearly rolled his eyes. He didn't care about all of the information the female provided, nor that he had cut his foot. Of course he wouldn't have wanted his leg or paw to go lame — that should have been a given. Either way, he reluctantly mutter a "thank you" to the she-wolf.
