The Beta then quieted as Peregrine shifted the subject, asking if he had met their newest members who also happened to be related to him.

He shook his head. He had smelled them here and there, though he hadn't actually made their acquaintance. "Not yet," he said, making a mental note to reach out to them in the near future. Giving his head an inquisitive tilt, he said, "Tell me more about the exile." Peregrine had surely mentioned it in passing at some point or another, but Elwood didn't think he knew much about what had happened.
