Kaskara wondered what Wildfire was thinking, but didn't feel it was her place to ask. They continued to walk on in companionable silence for a while, and finally the younger girl asked where they were. Kaskara paused and looked around, wondering the same thing. "I'm not sure where we are. Somewhere east of the blackfoot forest." Kas chuckled then, turning to look back at Wildfire. "I don't know how these places are named. Like the forest. Why's it called blackfoot?" She shrugged, turning to look in the direction of the distant landmark. "Maybe its because its at the base of the mountain. Maybe the soil turns your paws black?"
