There was a voice from nearby, drawing Elwood's attention away from the task at hand. He looked up and his gaze fell on the dark coat of a male wolf. At first glance, he almost mistook the subordinate for Peregrine -- but he quickly noted the difference in eye color just as the other wolf's scent filled his nostrils. Though he wasn't familiar with this male, he smelled strongly of Redhawk territory and Elwood was able to assume that he was one of the newer recruits.

"Hey there. I'm Elwood," he said with a friendly wave of his tail. He waited for the other to return the introduction, then gestured towards the path he had been following. "I'm tracking the local herds; care to join me?" The offer hung in the cold air; Currawong could take it or leave it and Elwood would not be offended. He could complete his job with or without company, although he preferred to take the opportunity to get to know his packmate.
