Ferdie's throat burned but he tried to convince himself it was due to the males scent. He offered a polite nod, and gave Fox a gentle nudge on the shoulder in greeting as he had seen her do to other wolves but not yet to him. The most physical contact he had with her was the first day when she rubbed against him marking him as her own.

He couldn't help but cough and choke at the young femme's request for the scent; surely the offer had been a joke. A few more coughs later Ferdie stood up straight and cleared his throat offering an embarrassed grin to small gathering "sorry, I was not prepared for that."

He swayed his tail a few times in hopes of his out burst being forgotten. In order to distract the others incase they were thinking his coughing was something other then a reaction to the situation at hand he attempted to carry on further conversation "Ahoy..." Ferdie greeted the new female, testing the word with his slight Canadian accent, it was not a word he had ever spoken before, though he knew it's meaning.
