Osprey felt it when Tytonidae yawned, the force of it sending a shiver through her small body. Still she clung, even as her sister flopped to the ground and became utterly motionless. She didn't join her sister in sleep right away, instead choosing to gnaw on any body parts she could reach (oftentimes snagging her own foot by mistake), whimpering happily and leaving drool everywhere all the while.

Eventually, all the sucking and chewing did have the expected effect on the young babe. With Ty's ear still in her mouth, her head began to droop and she slid sideways off her. When she bumped against the floor, she roused again long enough to flop over onto her back with her head propped atop her sister's form. Then, Osprey Jr. sighed and slipped deep into sleep.
