He forcefully shoved it aside. Finding Raven was much more important than some irrational fear. Even if he did somehow get separated from Elwood and lost in the catacombs, well... his children had found their way out once and so could he if it came down to it.

"Raven?!" he hollered the instant he thrust his head inside, listening to the darkness swallowing his echoes. "Are you in here?" he shouted at the top of his lungs, wondering how far his booming voice would carry into the bowels of the earth.
