Silvertip Mountain Don't look now

Chaska rose his head again, water dripping down his grey face fur. He managed a small smile, despite the situation. He had to lighten the mood up somehow. His tail lowered close to the ground. The chill of the water really did it's work, taking his mind off things. Partly. He could obviously tell she was upset, because he had felt the same many times before. He didn't know what kind of sadness, whether it was from regret or fear, or something else. But it was still sadness. And with it being in the night, away from everyone else. It was obvious to him it was a nightmare. And by what she said, he guessed she didn't want people to know.

"Because...I know the feeling" he answered with some hesitation. He had rathered keep such things to himself, but when someone was having them, he just felt it was a necessary thing to show he knew how it felt. He didn't want to ask, but found himself doing so, "Family?" He had known loss since that day everything happened. He had lost everything. And by now, he had come to accept it. Knowing that one day he would be joining them.
