tachyon's gut and limbs ached as he neared the den, a sinking feeling plummeting in his stomach as he rounded the terrace. had he been too late? he bolted into the den and nearly collided with @Eilidh -- but seeing her in the den assuaged his fears and he turned rapidly back towards the entrance. by now the sound of snarls and fangs had reached them. tachyon knew his energy reserves were limited -- if he dived into the fight he would be of no use. instead he placed himself as a barricade over the entrance, his body blocking the hole entire as he dared any wolf to come hither. should any enemy come his way they would be met with the sharp reprimand of every fang he had.
