Phoenix Maplewood Nighttime Walk

Spring yawned, as she awoke, then padded out from her smaller den.  Her gaze shifting over the Maplewood as she stood.  It was night and the stars were out and shinning, so was the moon.  Spring felt a crisp wind slice through her fur, but other than that it was pretty quiet.  Except for a few owls hooting and a couple howls sounding in the distance.  Spring started to pad into the Maplewood going on a nighttime walk.

As Spring padded through the Maplewood she thought of how just the day before she had had a talk with Esaro about his goals in life.  She smiled when she remembered how he had mentioned Laika in the conversation and how focused he had become on her.  She smiled at the thought of the two of them.  Esaro seemed to have feelings for Laika, but she still had no idea if her friend returned those feelings back.  She wondered if she would have a mate... someday.
