Phoenix Maplewood Nighttime Walk

Laika yawned. Her ears twitched as a quiet sound reached her ears. The female's eyes opened ever so slightly, peering around at her surroundings from thin slits. Then, movement caught her eye. Was it a deer? No. The figure was much to small. Could it be a raccoon? No, too tall.

She rolled on her side and opened her orbs wider, staring intently at the sollouett. It was another wolf! In fact, it was Spring! She fought the urge to spring forward and catch her friend's attention, and decided to sneak along and follow her. She smirked to herself at this secret game. It was her favorite thing to do.

Her tail sailed just inches above the ground as she slunk across the ground and slithered into the undergrowth, following Spring to the unknown destination.

Finally, she couldn't take it anymore. It was just too fun to scare Spring. She bunched her muscles and leapt from her cover, giving a bark and landing at  Speings side, tail wagging, and tongue lolling.
