Sage was indifferent towards the early night in the winter time, she'd been having trouble falling asleep, every time she tried it only ended with her restlessly churning in her den and making exasperated sighs every so often. She managed about five minutes asleep before she was interrupted by the sound of a crow cawing in the distance. Although she had been a lone wolf her entire life, her den had a strange emptiness to it, wishing for it to be filled with another presence, wolf or not. Growing tired of her lack of, well, being tired, she made her way out of her home to the other open dark void, only shedding light through the moon and stars. Ah, the stars, they reminded her of Madam Julie who taught her multiple things of being a naturalist.
Her mind began to delve into her past, only making her more depressed she'd never be able to return to it. Her time joining Moonhill had been exciting, but it made her dwell in what her life used to be. Regretting every moment she took to think of it. Sages eyes danced from star to star, then leading her to notice through the tree tops that the moonlight happened to shine through. It was difficult to see that much in the sky, with the branches of the Phantom Hallow trees blocking the sky from its potential. The dark wolf trotted her way through her land, in hopes of finding a way to fully see the stars.
The girl subconsciously smelled the now familiar scent of Malice, she must have been awake as well. Sage's head tilted to the side, What is she doing up? The girl asked herself, perhaps she was just as restless as herself. This was her chance to speak to her female alpha and grow a better relationship. Once following the smell, and crossing the border she began to grow a little wary. Having met Nemesis out here and having a rather rude conversation, she didn't wish to spark up another similar situation. The sky grew open the more she trekked on, only supporting her ideas that the alpha had been having a less than tired night. She then saw Malice lying out in the grass looking at the sky.
Sage slowed her pace and began to approach her leader, giving her a questionable look if she was allowed to lay beside her.
