Phoenix Maplewood Dance with the Winter Spirits

Esaro was having fun for sure, he only noticed Laika wasn't following along at the end. He was able to shake of the feeling of disappointment when she came to join him. She sat down next to him and together they watched the lights. If she preferred to watch then that was fine as long as she enjoyed it. There was a moment of silence. He was enjoying everything but his attention was pulled towards Laika. He was really glad that she followed him here even though she could be sleeping right now.

He let out a long peaceful sigh. "I wish every night would be like this." He said calmly. It was more like he wished he could stay this happy. For now he just wanted to forget the fact that this won't last but it was a bit difficult. Who knows when there will be another chance like this. He wondered how long he would actually be able to stay with his friends. How long would Laika be at his side?

"You know, last time I found something like this, I wasn't able to share it with anyone." He paused for a moment. "I'm really glad you decided to come here with me. Just laying here with you makes it even better. I don't feel alone at all." He said as he tried to express the reason why he was really happy right now. But now he wanted to ask one thing important, something that is meant to last.

"Laika, will you always be at my side? Like, if I happen to run in to trouble or if I need help, will you be there for me?" He asked and watched her as he wanted for her answer.
