Sage noticed her alpha's gruff voice, but said nothing of it. It made sense for her voice to be scarce, after all the howling and talking she had to do with her rank. Malice made a point that it could have been fate that kept the two of them awake, which she didn't disagree with at all. In the past, her only parent-like figure was Madam Julie, a very superstitious wolf who seemed to hold too many beliefs at once. She wasn't as steadfast to jump towards the unexplained like Julie had, but fate could definitely play a part in this.
Julie was a naturalist, and strived to teach Sage all she knew, her not having children herself made it hard to pass her knowledge, so the witch doctor told her everything she could, including stars. "Yes, always have been always will, do you know much about the stars?" Perhaps this could be a learning experience for the two of them, she may even gain one step closer to her ambition of a naturalist trade.
