There hadn't been a milk scent, after all. Perhaps she had, and they were just grown? Again, shooting down her own idea, she realized they werre probably too young to have fully grown pups. So he hadn't gotten her pregnant? The confusion and nervousness clear on her face made it obvious that she, too, had no idea what mating really was.
