Lost Creek Hollow Wild things

Her little ears twitched at the shuffling sounds behind her. Larkspur lifted her head, licking her chops as she turned to find her mother standing over her. Her lips pursed in slight surprise, then she noticed Silas nearby. Spur's face immediately brightened into a smile. Oblivious to her brother's ambush and its effect on their mother, the little Pi wound around Harlyn's leg and bounded toward her brother.

"Silas!" she exclaimed, just happy to see him. "Look, I found the creek!" Larkspur added excitedly, motioning toward the water, clearly proud of her achievement.
