The actions of the others aren't minimized in their new gamma's wake but Thuringwethil's comfort in her choice remains. He isn't Lucani's replacement, her settlement into the rank had been different, but Dio's responsibilities alter a little. She'd taken Gavriel back with her to the grotto, knowing she could trust one of her own, but her dependence on her older brother could be set aside with trust in Dio.
