"Tyrande, too," Bazi mused, thinking of the sweet, black wolf that had prostrated herself so readily at the smallest sign of kindness from her Creek adversary - despite belonging to Silvertip Mountain. She understood why Jinx was so territorial now, and didn't doubt that finding Creek wolf scents in the forests that bordered her claim would aggravate the already tetchy alpha. Bazi had scarcely crossed to that side of the Teekon Wilds since her encounter with Tiarnán - certainly not without an escort.

"Come... let us find Fox."

Bazi nodded - if they were to take a firmer stance against wolves visiting Duck Lake, she wanted the decision to be backed by authority. The wetlands were unpleasant to most, and therefore less of a concern, but the lake offered food, water, shelter, and play. She kept close to her pack-mate on the way home, throwing regular looks down the path taken by Silvertip wolf and her foreign stalker. They were gone.
