Firefly Ravine Addressing what is mine is not new

This man wasn't her father?! Well, Sadie did sort of expect that. The two looked nothing alike anyways. However, his talk about Rain and her mother made Sadie curious. He had met them when he joined, then decided to become the father, or at least offered to watch over Rain.

"Dear to ye heart?" she questioned, almost softly. Sadie never had anything dear except the blood that kept her going. She gave off another chuff. "Well aren't you a damn saint" she said, laughing. This man was probably the nicests she's seen. Taking two wolves close to him that aren't related, she would've just thrown them out!
