Sadie didn't seem to understand how he'd taken the wolfdog in, and he wasn't surprised: most other males would kill or drive away clinging offspring for a mate. Especially one as hyperactive and rash as the young merle girl. Zephyr couldn't tell if she was amused or scornful, but didn't bother to push it.
