Firefly Ravine Can you hear me now?

Strange blob-like forms were all she could see, but it still terrified her. There was a big brown one really close to her, but she assumed it was the thingymedingy. She really had to find another name for the thing that fed her and kept her warm, but she really couldn't think of anything that better described it. For now, she was just astonished and afraid of her new abbilities, and she crawled close to her mother as something vibrated the air again.

She whimpered, something that she now could hear for herself, but was somewhat comforted by the thingymedingy's touch. She babbled something, perhaps a prayer to the gods to end her life right now, but it somewhat resembled a faint "bubadokbuma". Maybe the thingymedingy could deal with this, or the darker blob beside her, but she was so done.
