"Ty," Osprey Jr. stage-whispered. She paused, her lips pursing, then began to chant, "Ty, Ty, Ty, Ty, Ty." She enjoyed being able to say her sister's name, especially over and over and over. "Ty, Ty, Ty!" Did it matter that Tytonidae was nowhere near her at the moment? No, it didn't. This wasn't about Ty, the wolf, but the word Ty and the ease with which it sprang off the tip of her tongue. "TY, TY, TYYY!"

Of course, her charcoal sister wasn't far away—just across the clearing, as a matter of fact, being groomed by their mother—so it was only a matter of time before she heard Junior purportedly calling her name and likely wandered over to see what the hell Osprey wanted.
