Neverwinter Forest Family is more than you know

The soot sprite had been sleeping soundly as was his wont — it was a period of great transition for the tiny Frostfurs, what with new teeth making their itchy, painful, uncomfortable debut and the wonder of sight that was sharpening every day. Too, Cypress found he could push himself up with his forelegs from time to time, although he wasn’t able yet to stand on his own. He had exhausted himself a few hours ago with his playing, and although he and Rannoch were not on the same schedule exactly, they overlapped quite a bit. He awoke of his own volition, as yet unable to hear the movement outside the den; and upon noticing the warm reassurance of Rannoch was conspicuously absent, piped a grumbling squeak that warbled into a “growl” that, at this stage of life, was more of a kittenish purr.

Turning, he wormed his way toward the Small Familiar Blob that was Rannoch and the Large Unfamiliar Blob that he did not quite recognize. He turned his eyes to Eshe as though attempting to reassure himself that she was still there and hadn’t magically turned into the Large Unfamiliar Blob — and decided that this odd turn events would warrant his first babyish attempt at howling. “Oo-foo-foof,” he grunted, and filled his tiny lungs with air that he burst forth on a short-lived, “wooo!”
