She sighed, it was still hard to wound still so fresh. "She died protecting my brother and I from her old pack. My mother had pups against permission, and her parents had assumed she had died. When they found her scent and realized that she had indeed survived they hunted us down. My mother was killed, while my brother and I escaped." Shalon kept pace with the King, even when her voice weavered every so often.
