His loyalty, while questioned, remained strong. Through the famine, through Gyda stepping down, she knows where his roots are buried.
“Have you met the puppies yet?” she decides to ask, twitching an ear. He’d spend a lot of time around the den as guard but she’d never caught him inside. Gyda has her fondness for the mute and while it wouldn’t surprise her, she’d already gotten excited about introducing him to them.
