This wasn't dah, or mama, or her siblings, and those few entities were her whole world. While the new arrival tried to be a protective force, Eimear let out a small squeal and recoiled from him — then, as swiftly as she'd slunk upon the scene, she was away again, dashing for home with a small cry falling from her lips.
