Ezekiel found it slightly ironic that the beloved pup ran away from this golden wolf, and a flick of his ear gave away his slight amusement. He did feel a bit bad for scaring the little girl, but it seemed her protector had done the same. He watched her small tail disappear into the forest until Goldhawk spoke again. And just like he'd thought, Stoic was not here. His shoulders dropped, as did his hopes. He had his suspicions, but he had still wished that Stoic would be here. He would hate to see Adeline's disappoint when he returned, it would break his heart. He was her protector, and he didn't want to let her down. But now he had to choice. He nodded to the beta at his proposition.
