Arrow Lake Move Slowly and Carefully

Eden could feel her heart flit in her chest when the question was posed. She didn't remember much of where she came from other than the pain that it caused her. 
One thing remained constant in her mind, and those were her mother's words: "Remember, sweetheart, I am always with you. Even when you can't see me, I am within you." She remembered her mother's face when as Eden's uncle mercilessly took her life. 
"It's been years since I was last home. I don't remember much." She did, however, remember her brother. He was the last member of her family she had seen and that was nearly a year ago. 
"I'm sorry to hear about that." She didn't have time to spare on reminiscing, though, so the thoughts left as soon as they'd come.
