He crumbled in front of her, babbling something about true love and pain that Bazi could make neither heads nor tails of. The harshness melted from her features and she crept forward, ears back and tail swishing low to the ground. "..I.. Ferdie..what are you saying?" she mewled, suddenly vulnerable and childish.
But Ferdie didn't answer her. Instead, he turned away and ran, stumbling awkwardly towards the borders. Bazi stared after him, very confused and a little hurt - and that made her cross all over again. "FERDIE!" she shouted, but it was no use. With a guttural snarl, she launched from her crouch and sped after him.
