"It is, isn't it?" Nico smiled as he looked around, admiring the view for what seemed like the hundreth time but with that came a twinge of guilt and he swallowed, remembering with a start that he had come to a decision, that he would eventually depart from the court to join Aeronwyn. He felt like he was harbouring some sort of traitor with the way he felt, though one could say that his decisions were just as traiterous as hiding a criminal. The soldier shook the thoughts away, unwilling to dwell on them in the presence of the Queen, almost as if afraid that she could read into his mind and see his plans and decisions and thoughts. No, that wouldn't be good.

Nico inhaled sharply, and paused abruptly. He'd thought, for a moment, that there was an intruder but with another sniff, it was gone. He kept a steady eye out, but thought of it as merely a trick of the wind. "Brainwashed, eh?" he smiled and shook his head, "Must've been terrible," he sympathised, wondering who on earth would want to believe in religion when there was basically no proof of it whatsoever. Better if they all stayed in reality and concentrated on surviving.
