Something about the crest and the fall of her tone caught his attention and he looked at her with more interest, as if he understood what she was talking at. His attention wavered into something akin to a mindless stare-- his eyes lingered and his resting bitch face settling upon his young features.

He was only shaken from such an expression as a word harshly fell upon his delicate ears. Quickly, they flattened in response and his expression grew dark as if to voice his dissatisfaction with Amara and how she spoke. He did not know why the milk-giver spoke so angrily, but he did not approve of it.
But, his own displeasure was soon met with actions and expressions that spooked the young child.

As she stood and breathed heavily, Kavos quickly stood and backpedaled, looking to his mother with a sense of bewilderment and judgement as if to ask, “What is wrong with you?!”
