Gannet's blood was rising, and the taste of the stranger's blood only made it worse.  He bit down eagerly until he was shaken off, but before he could retaliate again, he was on the ground.

Again teeth found his neck, but this time firmer.  Gannet bared his teeth and began to struggle, heedless of how his pulling might cause the teeth to tear.  While he twisted he struggled to get his paws under him, attempting to leverage his legs to push the wolf off of him.
