The priest was smart to intervene, because the pup wouldn't have stopped running until he was tired, probably carrying him further away from the den site even more. The pale boy hit the breaks when he saw another wolf. He did recognize the shape, and related it to that of his mother and father. Though this wolf wasn't one he had seen before, or had he? He wouldn't know. He looked up with big murky colored eyes. The calm tone made him relaxed, instantly it slipped from his mind that he was running or trying to find his mother and father.

The other male lowered himself and the pup instantly trotted closer to greet him with licks around his muzzle and chin. Soft whines and woofs came from him. Fear was overruled by excitement. His pale tail as wagging fast, in his excitement the pup playfully jumped up against the other's face, trying to reach one of his ears. Clearly the pup was not afraid of strangers, he never learned to be. "Paaaaay!" he cried out followed by a giggle.
