Since their couslings had joined them on their fourth or fifth day life (before their eyes or ears or minds had opened), the bond between Osprey Jr. and Tytonidae had ceased to be particularly special, though for one reason or another, Junior only rarely targeted Ty. And when her full-blooded sibling sidled up next to her and licked her jaw, Junior not only accepted but returned the gesture. It was as if she sensed their special bond, even if there was no actual distinction between the two of them and Pura and Saēna.

Presently, Ty attempted to get Pura to play with her. Despite Junior's dominant stance, she did not deign to interfere... for the moment, at least. She watched expectantly as her sister moved toward the silvered boy, who promptly turned around and released a reeking blast of air in Tytonidae's direction.

Although such noises and even smells didn't offend Osprey and she didn't feel any particular urge to come to Ty's defense, the sight of Pura's ass wiggling in the air was what finally spurred the puppy pack's current commander to take action. Without warning, she leaped at Pura's backside, aiming to give him a sound nip to the rear, her snout unknowingly angling toward the family jewels...
